JOE PISCOPO TO HOST “AFTER DARK WITH JOE PISCOPO”

Legendary Saturday Night Live Alum, Joe Piscopo, will host After Dark with Joe Piscopo, a network television special to be filmed on March 1st and 2nd, 2010 at the Studio location of The Joynt, one of Chicago’s legendary nightclubs. After Dark, aiming to become a new weekly late night talk show, will feature celebrity interviews, live musical performances, comedy, cocktails and a swingin’ good time. The first shows guests include Dan Aykroyd, Chazz Palminteri, Don Novello (Father Sarducci) and Tony DeSare leading the “ After Dark Band “ with celebrity guest musical performances .

“After Dark with Joe Piscopo” will embrace the legacy of Playboy After Dark, a sultry talk show, which featured celebrities, musicians, professional athletes and other recognized figures hanging around at one of Chicago’s hippest lounges. Viewers will burst out in laughter and tap their toes to the rhythmic sounds of jazz, blues, R&B, soul and more.

Piscopo, talented to the core in music, comedy and acting, started his career in the late 70’s. After obtaining a regular feature spot at Dangerfield’s Comedy Club in New York, Piscopo was chosen, along with Eddie Murphy, to join a newly formed ensemble charged with one of television’s most difficult tasks…replacing the renown original cast of Saturday Night Live. Piscopo has also been featured in Law and Order, Wise Guys with Danny DeVito, Johnny Dangerously and the Broadway production of Grease. Piscopo currently tours the country with his own Big Band, which tributes its performances to the one and only, ‘Ol Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra.
